Was 2022 going to finally be your year to get in shape and run your first 5K, then things changed and it hasn’t happened. Or maybe, you recently have been feeling the urge to try something different, and want to add running to your workout routine. Whatever the case, our C25K program is for you!

Starting in September, our trainer led C25K running program will help you train to run your first, or maybe simply your next, 5K. Timed to coincide with the Cedar Rapids Turkey Trot, our program will guide you through the steps needed to prepare. Then, if desired, you can run with our group in the Turkey Trot event!*

The program, taught by Rec Center fitness professional Brenda Cloud, will include both trainer led and on-your-own runs. You will also get tips, tricks and support from our fitness staff.
  • Dates: Sept 22 – Nov 24th
  • Group Runs: Thursdays 5:00-6:15pm
  • Location: Rec Center Sports Park
  • Rec Center Member Fee: $30
  • Eligible Non-Member Fee: $40
  • Ages: 12 years and up
