The Rec Center is offering a Women’s Self Defense class on October 5th & 7th from 6:30-9:30pm. The class will be taught by Chris Smaby, Cedar Rapids Police Training Specialist and is open to Rec Center members and their families, as well as Collins Aerospace employees and their families. From early prevention to last-ditch physical resistance, this class will give participants the tools needed to deal effectively with situations ranging from uncomfortable to life-threatening. Maximum class size is 35. Minimum is 12.

Cost for the 6-hour class is $50 for members, $65 for eligible nonmembers. Pre-registration is required. Click here for more details. Questions? Contact Laura Green.
