Once again, the Rec Center will be offering their members the convenience of picking up CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares onsite at the Rockwell Collins Recreation Center. To register, members must go online to select the farmer and share they are interested in receiving and make an online payment. The three CSA’s that drop off shares at the Rockwell Collins Recreation Center and their pick up days and times are:

Garden Oasis Farm – Thursday pickup 4-5pm

Veggie Shares: Formerly known as TDnGuy, and located in Central City. They are offering weekly and bi-weekly shares.

Buffalo Ridge Orchard – Monday pickup 4:30-5:30pm

Apple Shares: Located in Central City, BRO offers “apple only” shares available for pickup at the Rockwell Rec Center beginning in August.  Try local apple varieties you would not find in the supermarkets.

Grinnell Heritage Farm – Wednesday pickup 1:30-7pm

Veggie Shares: Located in Grinnell. Spring, Summer and Winter shares are available.

Buying a share in a CSA is a great way to support your local farmer and try new vegetables, fresh from the farm.
