Join the Rec Center Physical Therapy staff members for a free informational class to learn about Osteoporosis and Osteopenia, the “Silent Disease.” This educational session will be presented by Lisa Patterson PTA, Nicole Chavez, PTA and Jane Thurm, PT on Tuesday, February 27 from 9:00-10:30am.

Osteoporosis and Osteopenia can strike men and women of all ages. This class is open to all Rockwell Collins employees and Rec Center members. The following items will be covered in this class:

  • How to optimize your posture
  • Preventing fractures and falls
  • Appropriate exercises and body mechanics to help protect your spine and build bone strength

Members must attend this informational class to attend the ongoing Bone Building class held on Mondays from 9:15-10:00am. Pre-registration is required by calling the Physical Therapy office at 319-295-8899. Class size is limited to 20.
